About the Chef

Pastry Chef Tritia Tonn received her formal Pastry and Baking education at the Oregon Culinary Institute, Portland, Oregon. However, long before she graduated with highest honors and was the recipient of the Chef Robert Parks Award from OCI, she held a technical broadcasting career for 10 years. During that time she had also started Red Penny Video Productions producing wedding videos. Nevertheless, it was an inheritance of her Grandma Bobbie’s kitchen gadgets that stirred a deep childhood passion for making sweet treats. The large Scandinavian population of Portland had inspired Tritia to research and develop her own kransekake, in turn creating Teton’s Kitchen.

Tritia has enjoyed working for Saint Honore Boulangerie, Lake Oswego, Oregon, The Allison Inn & Spa (5-Star), Newberg, Oregon, as a pastry cook for Jory restaurant, and as assistant bakery manager for Market of Choice, Portland, Oregon. She has also worked under the direction of several notable Chefs and Pastry Chefs.

Tritia currently resides in Portland, Oregon. In her off time she enjoys Argentine Tango, traveling the world to find the best ingredients for her pantry, outdoor adventure, volunteering for Scandinavian cultural groups, gardening, experimenting in the kitchen, and great wines of the Pacific Northwest.
